Description: This painting, inspired by a celebrated episode recounted in Book VIII of the Odyssey, illustrates the emotion felt by Ulysses, who is shown covering his face with his cloak to hide his tears, on hearing the blind singer Demodocus narrate the tale of Troy's tragic fall.
